| 2001년 12월 브에노스 아이레스에서 Brukman 의복 공장의 노동자들은 아르헨티나 경제의 붕괴를 걱정하여 자신의 공장을 점령하고 1년간 공장이 잘 돌아가도록 하였다. 2002년 4월 18일에는 경찰 병력이 한밤중에 공장을 점령하여 강제로 노동자들을 내몰았다. 공장의 노동자들은 다시 공장을 되찾고, 밤새도록 철야를 하며 간이 천막을 치고 공장을 차지한 후 약 1년 간 항거하였다. 2003년 1월에는 아르헨티나 사회운동 단체에서 공장의 노동자들이 공장으로 돌아가서 다시 일을 할 수 있도록 정부에 압력을 행사하였으며, 경찰병력은 이를 반대하는 입장에서 자신들이 필요없다고 판단되는 공장 기계 물품들을 하나씩 훔쳤다. 아르헨티나 정부가 정착하는데 있어서 필요한 것을 찾기 위해 Brukman 노동자들은 반드시 공장을 사용한 사용료를 지불하라고 하였으며 공장 문을 닫지 않기 위해서는 정부의 지시에 따르도록 하였다. 시계는 노동자의 결정을 기다리고 있다. 영국에 있는 사람들 중의 노동자계급은 아르헨티나로부터 만들어진 필름을 모으고 이 공장들을 위해서 사용 매뉴얼을 고쳐 주고 공장의 일부분을 고치는 활동을 도와주고 있다. They ran it successfully well over a year. * On Apr. 18, 2002 police forces evicted workers from the factory in the middle of the night. The workers kept a working vigil, sewing outside the factory under improvised shelter for almost a year. * In January 2003, pressure from Argentina's social movements forced the government to allow the workers back into their factory. As the police withdrew, they stole one part from each machine in the factory, to render the factory useless. * Under the terms of the settlement with the government, the Brukman workers must pay back a loan (?) to the government within two years or the government will foreclose on the factory. The clock is ticking. A group of people in Britain have got together with a working-class filmmaker from Argentina (her name is Ana) and are starting a campaign to get repair manuals and parts for this factory. Ana is acting as the go-between with the workers' assembly; they are very happy that outside people are interested in their struggle and are drafting a letter of support for the campaign. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! We are hoping that this can be the start of a long-term campaign to offer concrete solidarity to Argentina's 147 occupied factories. We have a preliminary draft of a website and are planning to offer background info about what is happening in Argentina, and encourage people to download and screen Ana's two movies (available soon), and to help us get the parts and manuals.
